SLAB 01 creative controller with eleven keys, a silver case, orange accent key and rotary dial

Self-initiated studio concept. SLAB 01 is imagined hardware, presented through AI-generated product imagery, film, and an interactive website. The browser demonstrations are simulated; nothing is for sale.

Product identity, visual direction, motion, and interactive website design.

A scroll-controlled assembly sequence, material studies, film, and playable keys with a rotary dial.

Make digital work feel physical.

Eleven keys. One dial. SLAB 01 turns everyday creative gestures into an imagined physical object. Scroll to assemble it, explore the materials, and try the simulated keys and sound.

Get a feel for it.

Assemble the controller as you scroll, explore its materials, and try the keys. The complete experience lives on the dedicated SLAB website.

Explore the design decisions
01 / DESIGN DECISION

Let the object lead

Large product imagery, restrained typography, and generous space keep attention on the controller’s physical character.

02 / DESIGN DECISION

Give motion a purpose

Scrolling explains assembly and materials. Direct position controls, a motion pause, and reduced-motion support give visitors control.

03 / DESIGN DECISION

Make room to play

Playable keys, workflow tabs, and an adjustable dial turn a product study into an experience. Sound starts off, and simulated actions are clearly labeled.
